I was surprised to discover the existence of this cabinet-museum dedicated entirely to contemporary art from Saudi Arabia – apparently the only one in the world. It is in the centre of Amsterdam. See Green Box Museum.
The owner/director/curator/collector Aarnout Helb has developed a specific interest in how artists living in Saudi Arabia are inspired by and deal with religious and other cultural issues in novel ways.
There are very good works by Abdulnasser Gharem and Ahmed Mater among others, a specialized library etc. definitely worth a visit!
